Every record, cryptographically linked to the one before it.
Every inspection, incident, near-miss, and document revision is logged to a single, ordered record. Each entry contains a cryptographic hash of the entry before it — so if anything is altered after the fact, the chain visibly breaks. This is blockchain methodology: hash-chained, tamper-evident, permanently ordered — applied to safety and emergency-preparedness recordkeeping. HASP 14 is among the first safety consultancies applying this approach.
Tamper-evident
Edit any past entry and every hash after it stops matching. There's no quiet backdating, no missing page, no "which version is current."
Escalates on its own
Most entries log silently. The ones that matter — an injury, a failed inspection, an overdue corrective action — alert the right person automatically, without waiting for someone to call.
Provable, years later
When an incident, audit, or claim requires history, the record is pulled and verified in minutes — not reconstructed from memory and a filing cabinet.
Locked attachments
Photos and documents attached to an entry are hashed and chained too — swap the file later and the chain visibly breaks, the same as editing text.
Location & device aware
Every entry is tagged with an approximate location and device at submission — so a passcode used somewhere the real person never was stands out immediately.
Independently verifiable
A no-login portal lets an insurer, auditor, or investigator confirm any specific record exists and is unaltered — without needing access to your systems.
A note on the term: this system uses blockchain's core mechanism — cryptographic hash-chaining — to make records tamper-evident. Day-to-day, it runs on a single, HASP 14-administered ledger, the appropriate model for a firm already engaged as your safety authority of record. Periodically, the current chain hash is additionally anchored to the public Bitcoin blockchain via OpenTimestamps — so even HASP 14 cannot quietly rewrite history after that point without it being independently detectable by anyone, not only by us. This is live today, not planned — HASP 14's ledger began anchoring entries to the public Bitcoin blockchain in July 2026.
John Cibotti has spent his career making high-risk operations safe, compliant, and audit-ready — across government, the military, and regulated industry.
As a compliance manager for a municipality, he oversees occupational safety and health for a large municipal workforce: SOP and program development, industrial hygiene, respiratory and hearing conservation, DOT drug-and-alcohol administration, hazard communication, training-requirements oversight and contractor oversight, incident-investigation programs, and safety audits and inspections.
Earlier, as District Safety & Health Manager for the Florida Department of Transportation, he led environmental health and remediation — petroleum discharge response, groundwater sampling, tank decommissioning, and air-quality monitoring — and managed a $5M remediation contract as a certified contract manager, earning the department’s Innovator of the Year award for resolving two long-standing contamination sites. With the Florida Department of Health in Miami-Dade County, he ran safety, life-safety, and security programs across 32 facilities.
His emergency-preparedness grounding runs deep: he authored major sections of a county Comprehensive Emergency Management Plan, served as an EOC Safety Officer during activations, and served as a Staff Officer in the Army National Guard — reinforced by a master’s in international disaster management and a foundation in economics. From that experience he developed the K-C Method, his own emergency-preparedness methodology suitable for organizations of any size or sector.
